The Fashion Island Mall Towers can be seen in the distance behind MacArthur Blvd. This location (lower photo) is nearly exactly the same azimuth and elevation as the original launch hill & very near where the monument will be dedicated
UPDATE 2011: San Miguel Park is top of hill overview of flying site and over south to cemetery. The "Yacht" street names occupy the flying turf now, filled with houses. Determination of area is via photos of the reservoir and direction of the flights in the video.
